Our counsellors have a passion for helping Transgendered, Transsexual or Intersexed persons of any age, to include family members, also any Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual young person under 18 years. We at Gender Essence are committed to providing a safe and confidential space to explore your life and how it impacts on you socially, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Moreover, we are especially interested in aiding people who are experiencing issues around gender and sexual identity including loss and grief, depression, self esteem loss, relationships and most significantly our identity of self. Appointments: We have a variety of daytime and evening (6pm - 9pm) appointments available weekly. Sessions are 60 minutes in length for individuals and 1 hr and 30 minutes for couples. Counselling Style: We are qualified by theory and practice in a number of Counselling therapies and take an integrative approach to therapy which includes the Person Centred, Cognitive behavioural, Existential and Psychodynamic models. Also at Gender Essence we receive clinical supervision for every 10 hours client practice undertaken. Project portfolio, references and qualifications available on written

counsellors are professionally qualified to provide the above services to vulnerable transpersons in particular during an emotional crisis in utmost confidentiality & discretion. We welcome self referrals (or referrals from concerned carers, friends and/or family) and has a particular and personal interest in supporting people who out of despair & hopelessness are self-harming or contemplating ending their own lives. Believing in the inherent value of human life, our team willingly work, in confidence, to preserve life and indeed to improve the quality of life of such vulnerable persons in our communities.
