    To whom it may concern as the area manager of Fonezone/(Barclay Communications) I would like to draw your attention to an article left on the site re Laura Vance. I would like to point out that Miss Laura Vance did indeed get a replacement handset and was hand delivered to the store by myself Cathy Corr, Laura was instructed to leave the handset at the store to allow me to establish the problem the phone was in working order and did not appear to have any problems with it but as a good will gesture I replaced the handset for the customer. I hope this did meet with miss Vances expectations and welcome any feedback.

  • Barclay Communications Bad Experience

    In my view you should be very careful before buying from this company. They have a policy that a phone has to break THREE times before they offer a refund or a replacement. I have contacted the Consumer Association which verified that this is illegal. Barclays also claim that after 28 days they no longer have any responsibility towards you and you have to speak to the manufacturer, again, breaching their contract with their customers. In my case, they have been most unhelpful; every member of staff refused to take any responsibility for my useless phone. I apparently need to talk to managing director Britt Megahey but he seems to be in a permanent meeting. BC are very happy to take your money but offer no after sales care. I have had a very frustrating experience with this company and intend to take them to court to secure my rights. I thought I was supporting a local business but in future I will go with the chain operations as the chances of getting a fair deal seem much better.
