  This restaurant serves quality food for a decent price.Beginning with the shared starters platter for £10, there was good variety for the two of us.I ordered the drunken noodles for the main course and was told how hot it would be and offered a glass of milk - apparently I wouldn't be the first if I accepted it. For £10 I received a very large platter of chicken and vegetables served on large flat rice noodles, covered in chillis. It only warranted a three chilli warning (out of a possible four) and was extremely hot. Next time maybe I'll accept the milk...Staff were very friendly and the setting was intimate - it could be busier on a saturday night, but word of mouth should improve this.Total price for the two of us was £30, and the amount of food served was generous - apparently they rarely sell dessert as everyone is full!Recommended.

• A really different night out

  Sabai Thai is one of those undiscovered wonders that you make wonder why they are undiscovered. The food is superb and really very authentic. The waitresses are all thai and so pleasant. There is a very unhurried atmosphere about the whole place. The service is excellent withsome really useful advice when ordering. The owner spoke to us a number of times but not in an obtrusive manner. I really enjoyed the pad thai while my partner had some very hot drunken noodles. We were so full after that we had to go for a walk. HIghly recomment this little place on batchelors walk on all counts. Nice to have a change for the chinese ame old same old. oh yeah! yOu can bring your own wine too and there is no corkage on it - a bonus indeed.
